WORKS INSPIRED BY ARTE POVERA
BEHIND THE STORIES OF LIFE
DANCING IN THE EMPTINESS
In spring 2019 I met in Arles, France, the Portugese photographer Paulo Nozolino for a workshop called "Down to the bone". Following him an image has to reveal its origin. Working on the theme I felt I liked to go further: going to the origin of life, of what is beyond the personality. So arose the title "Dancing in the Emptiness", since all what is beyond time and space finds its roots in emptiness. In that perspective I worked a year on the theme. The images came to me with a certain spontaneity. I did not need to think, and that happened also with the composition of the photo collages. To me they have become doors to the emptiness beyond time and space, dissolving our world of dreams, thoughts, feelings, ideas in which we are trapped.
It is a great pleasure to me to present this series to you. During my work I met the teachings of a selfrealized Yoga master, Sri Nasargadatta Maharaj, which further increased my experiment.
